CALL FOR SHORT FILM ENTRIES

Whirlygig Cinema is an ongoing project working towards exposing the talents of artists and filmmakers through its short film programmes. We realise that not everyone has a musical best mate, or enough money to afford the rights to their desired piece of music, so this December we offer the chance for filmmakers to show their work without needing to worry about all this.

We are teaming up with artist collaborative The Cabinet of Living Cinema whose mission is to create 'living cinema' experiences through live performance such as live film rescores. For Whirlygig, they will rescore a selection of short films, enabling filmmakers to show their work off in public.

If you have a short film that fits into this category and would like it to be considered for this exciting new venture, please email Katie Steed at katie@whirlygigcinema.com  or call on 07792 303712.

Alternatively, please post your film on DVD directly. Don't forget to include your own contact details, plus basic details about the film (duration, credits, date it was made, etc.). A longer bio and description will be needed at a later stage if your film is selected.
Please send to:
Whirlygig Cinema Submissions
7b Dunbar Road
London
N22 5BG

The film should be no longer than 10 minutes, with little or no audio dialogue. The deadline for this is Friday 15th October and the event will take place on Thursday 9th December at an undisclosed high profile arts venue in East London. If your work is selected, you will be informed around the end of October or beginning of November and a written contract will be put in place. This event will comply with UK copyright legislation in relation to the entries I receive.
