Events & Opportunities

Link Up is a professional development programme for deaf and disabled creative people in London. This one-off event on 23 July will bring together professionals from across the arts including theatre, visual arts, television and creative writing:

• Yinka Shonibare International visual artist, nominated for the Turner Prize in 2004, currently shortlisted for the Trafalgar Square Fourth Plinth commission.
• Jeff Banks Director and Chief Executive of Theatre Resource, which specialises in disability arts and social inclusion. He also continues to work creatively as a theatre director.
• Vidar Hjardeng is a journalist by trade with over 20 years experience as a television producer. Currently Political Producer and Diversity Advisor for ITV.

Through presentations and workshops these and other speakers will deliver practical advice and workshops on how to find your first job and get it, how to keep your practice going and how to move up the career ladder.
