Filmmakers and Independent Film Enthusiasts

"LINHA DE PASSE" the Cannes winning Brazilian film by Walter Salles. We will also be showing the film by local filmmaker, Jesse Lawrence, "MUCH ADO ABOUT A MINOR TING" which has already won many awards. We will also be holding the all important Q&A with Brazilian film expert and Jesse Lawrence, and will be encouraging drinks and networking after the event.

The Lexi is the glittering new cinema at 194 Chamberlayne Road, NW10 and has just celebrated its first birthday. It is a state of the art digital cinema, which still includes its original Edwardian features and shows an eclectic range of mainstream and arthouse films. We will be holding our Urban Screen events every second Tuesday of the month with a mix of UK and world films together with emerging new talent. The booking line number is 0871 704 2069. Ticket prices are £10 for adults and £7 for students.

We will continuing our monthly events at The Albany in atmospheric Deptford, and will be adding a central London location very soon.

On the 18th November, at The Albany, we will be screening Cannes winner "RED ROAD" by Andrea Arnold, also "TIGHT JEANS" and 'THE PARK" by emerging local talent Destiny Ekaragha. Destiny has now shown twice at the London Film Festival, her films have had rave reviews and must be seen. Both directors Andrea and Destiny will be available for a Q&A and networking. These are all award winning accomplished films and must be seen. These are also perfect months for snuggling in a cosy cinema being inspired by UK and world indie film, and are a key meeting place for any filmmaker.
