Underwire Festival
It will take place from 18th - 21st November in venues around Shoreditch and Hoxton, featuring screenings of all the short-listed films and including discussions, talks, and question and answer sessions from industry professionals.
Underwire is open for submissions until Monday 20th September, and accepts short films under 20 minutes in length on DVD.
For the main five categories, films are only eligible for the category that they have a female creative for. They can also only enter one category at a time.
Examples:
If a film has both a female Director and Cinematographer, they must enter each category separately.
If a film is Directed by a male, and Produced by a female, it is eligible for the Producing category, and not the Directing category.
If the film is being entered into a category where the entrant shares a credit with a male, it is not eligible, e.g. it is written by a male and a female.
Films being entered for the Representation award are accepted from all emerging filmmakers. The award will recognise the film.
Entrants are welcome to enter as many categories as they are eligible for. It costs £5 per entry.
Prizes
Each category is being sponsored by one of our festival partners, who are each kindly donating a prize that will assist the winner as they further their career in the film industry.
Confirmed prizes include:
From Euroscript - A one-year Script Development package
From Kodak - 5 x 400ft of 16mm film stock
From WFTV - All winners will receive one year's membership
These details will be updated as we receive confirmation from other partners.
