Treasure Hunt
Treasure Hunt
A fundraising treasure hunt is taking place on the 7th of March in Hoxton Square from 1:30pm.
Seek out the numbered tokens and these will correspond to art and an assortment of other unbelievable things you just could not believe! While you hunt for tokens there will be cake, treats, popcorn and pinyata followed by a party at the venue where out treasure will be hidden (which we will wonderfully reveal by signs and a trail of bunting). There we will find all the treasures of the hunt and treasure hunters will be allocated their prizes. You will be served beautiful rum courtesy of the beautiful people of Pampero Rum who are helping us make this a memorable event and raise awareness about the charity and cause. Any unfound treasures will be auctioned off during the evening’s festivities!
The cause and the charity:
With a team of 8 we are fundraising and training throughout the year before spending 7 weeks in Rwanda in June and July 2009. Once out there we will be working with the Medical Students Association of Rwanda (MEDSAR) to foster behavioural change and increased understanding of sexual health issues among secondary school students, as well as to give support to people living with HIV/AIDS. On top of this we will be taking part in workshops with Waverly Care, the leading support group for people living with HIV and AIDS in Scotland to try and raise awareness back at home.
The Edinburgh-based project is organized by the student-run charity Edinburgh Global Partnerships (charity registration number SC018757).
Entry to hunt is £5
