Travel Writers needed - Write, live and travel in Tenerife Island (Short term, unpaid)
We are looking for unpaid travel writers/journalists with exceptional command of English for the inception of a travel website.
Requirements:
- Journalism background/qualification, preferably travel/tourism related
- Excellent writing skill (English or German) is a must, so do research, communication and organisational skills
- Over 18 years old, independent and self-motivated
- Spanish is an advantage but not necessary
- Photography skill is an advantage but not necessary
- Able to travel (you are responsible for your visa, insurance, flights)and commit for at least 1 month
- 5 days/week, approx 7 hours a day
- Availability between May- mid July and Sep –Oct (preferably someone who can start in May)
- You must possess a letter of recommendation from your university/ college that this will be beneficial for your work experience, internship or CV.
In return:
- We provide you with accommodation at a 2 star homely hotel in the old quarter of Puerto de la Cruz
- Free daily breakfast
- Free Spanish lessons if you opt to look after the hotel reception (more experience and additional language skill to be gained!) while doing your online research and writing
- You get to visit places/cities you are writing about (so you know your "subject"!)
- You get to immerse yourself in the warm weather and Spanish culture in the beautiful island of Tenerife
- Valuable (and memorable) experience for your CV
- Referral letters from us for good job done, and seeing your work being published online
