The New Statesman is pleased to announce the launch of its Cartoon Competition.
Do you have the kind of ideas for a strip cartoon that will provide the perfect mix of topical humour, political edge and creative flair?
Or do you draw witty comments on everyday life?
Would you like to draw a weekly cartoon for a sharp and sassy current affairs magazine?
A regular spot in the New Statesman, whose issues are “the envy of the industry”, could be the trigger for your career.
To enter
Please send three examples of your work and three sample strip cartoons created specifically for the New Statesman to Anja Wohlstrom,
Art Editor: awohlstrom@newstatesman.co.uk
The closing date for entries is Friday 14 May 2010
Our distinguished panel of judges – the New Statesman cartoonists David Shrigley, Grizelda and David Simonds together with our art editor, Anja Wohlstrom – will select the winner. The winning entry will be published on our website and the winner will get the chance to take up a regular commission with the magazine.
