The Creative Archives

A platform for driven emerging talent, The Creative Archives offers graduates and apprentices the opportunity to see their work realised on luxury scarves and available for the first time in the highly competitive fashion market place.

Conceived in Italy, one of the leading artisan centers of the world, the project also aims to combine cutting edge talent with authentic craftsmanship whilst unremittingly researching and documenting the best talent from new generations of designers and artists. For the discerning generation of consumers, The Creative Archives provides an interactive chance to identify and follow ambitious designers and artists take their first steps into the market and beyond.

Duties:

Launched at London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010, The Creative Archives is proud to assist independent designers in becoming commercially viable entities by uniquely allowing them to be involved and consulted at every step of the way.

Each season a textile, print or surface designer will be awarded the opportunity to take their ideas from conception to the creative and commercial realities of the market place.

The scarf was chosen for its simple yet infinite appeal and its potential for allowing designers to experiment with material, texture, colour, print, embroidery and pattern, within certain commercial and practical limitations.

The winning designs will be presented as part of The Creative Archives AW10/11 collection during London Fashion Week and distributed through international luxury retailers.
Requirements:

1. The competition is open to all current students and recent graduates (within past three years) of design-related degrees.

All designs must be original and your own work.

Winners will be chosen by the judges. The decision on all matters relating to the competition is final.

Due to the number of applications received, only successful applicants will be contacted.

Winners will be contacted by the end of January 2009.

TCA reserve the right to free reproduction and exhibition of award winning entries in all media. This includes but is not limited to display during Fashion Week, online and printed publications.
