Stitch Art Auction - A Call for Artists Submissions

What and Where?

The exhibition will feature artwork by 30 artists from a variety of different disciplines. All of the work being exhibited will focus on artists’ interpretations of environmental issues and the effect these have on the world in which we live.

The event is being held at The Dairy, in WC1 an industrial space over 10,000 sq. ft. in size featuring high ceilings, clean lines and a glazed roof with a capacity of 900. The exhibition will be on display throughout the day, culminating in the art auction evening event.

Sale of Artwork Artwork will be sold at the auction. The artists will receive a pre-negotiated percentage of the sale of their work whilst potentially earning a great deal of exposure and publicity. We will have the artists themselves, as well as members from Stitch acting as facilitators to the sales, influencing and educating attendees.

Attendance Beyond immediate personal networks, Stitch will increase attendance by communicating the event through the media, including online, regional and national newspapers, online and print magazines, and social networking websites. At least fifty charities and other organisations and individuals involved in environmental issues will also be informed and invited to the exhibition. To compliment this, another two hundred public figures will also be invited to attend the event, with a focus on those who have already expressed an interest in the environment. Whilst it is difficult to guarantee attendance; through the combined efforts of the above it is estimated that at least five hundred people will attend the event.

Submission Process

The deadline for submissions is Monday 7th November 2011
Due to the short time-frame, no submissions received beyond this deadline will be accepted.
