Springboard Southwark

· Success for learning- a programme for 14-16 year olds who are currently in school but on the border of exclusion. We work with the child and alongside the school to give the learner an alternative education and gain accredited qualifications in a more relaxed environment and given personal tutoring;

· E2E(Entry to employment) This programme is for 16-19 year old who may have come out of education, not quite sure what to do or haven’t gained their desired qualifications. This scheme gives the learner the opportunity to gain basic Level One key skills in Literacy, Numeracy and I.C.T and also we give professional development such as support with C.V writing. This scheme also offers a block placement at the end of the course in whatever the learner is looking to go into (eg- construction) So the learner is given that opportunity to gain experience for their future prospects;

· Lastly we offer an Apprenticeship scheme in Childcare for 16-24 Year olds. This scheme gives the learners an opportunity to work towards Level 3 NVQ and also to gain a first aid certificate. These learners are placed in a placement near their location and have to visit the unit once a week. Also a common route for this is from the E2E programme and onto this Apprenticeship. This is because if the Learner decided to do a childcare placement on their E2E, when they move onto the apprenticeship they have already completed a unit of their NVQ.
