Short Film to Photo Story Competition

How to enter?
Simply transform your existing short film into a photo story following the How To requirements and Upload it to our website between 8th January 2011 and 1st March 2011. For additional guidance on how to create a photo story see Stories or Contact us at info@curiousquests.com .

Closing Date
1st March 2011

How we judge it?
A panel of film industry experts, including agents, producers and film experts will read/ view each photo novel, grade it and chose a winner before the end of March 2011. The winners will be announced on 31st March 2011.

The jury will include: George Lewis (Agent - United Agents), Kate Myers (Producer - Forward Films), James Abadi (Producer - Combined Mind), James Tatham (Film Critic - Movie Waffle), Stuart Sutherland (Producer - Azure Films), Laurence Moody (Director - Tahana Films) and Maria Constantinescu (Founder - Curious Quests).

What are the prizes?

1st Prize
£1000 cash prize
Meetings with a leading film agent, an independent film producer and a film finance expert to pitch your work, receive feedback and explore collaborations.
Special promotion of the winning photo story on the Slick Flick app and any associated networks.

2nd Prize
£500 cash prize
Meetings with a leading film agent, an independent film producer and a film finance expert to pitch your work, receive feedback and explore collaborations.
Special promotion of the winning photo story on the Slick Flick app and any associated networks.

3rd Prize
£300 cash prize
Meeting with a digital media expert and a film finance expert to pitch your work, receive feedback and explore collaborations.
Special promotion of the winning photo story on the Slick Flick app and any associated networks.

Early Bird Prize
For any submissions made before 20th January 2011, there will be an additional chance to win a £200 cash prize. Winning the Early Bird Bonus would not affect participation in the rest of the contest or wining any other prize. This will be judged and awarded before January 25th.

Top 20 Stories
The top 20 ranked photo stories will receive individualised reviews of their work and targeted advice from the members of the jury panel.

All entries
Each entrant will have the opportunity to feedback on the functionality of the Slick Flick app beta and suggest app features. Also, the photo stories that meet the How To requirements, in Promoter’s discretion, will be featured on the Slick Flick app and within the marketing materials and will be promoted on the platform.
