Red Cross are Looking for Photography and Events Volunteers for Refugee Week 14-20th June 2010
We are currently recruiting young aspiring photography and events volunteers aged 16-25 to volunteer with the Red Cross at an event for Refugee Week, 14th- 20th of June 2010. The event will focus on raising awareness among members of the general public about refugee issues through encouraging people to empathise with refugees and recognise their achievements and contributions to society.
The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We help vulnerable people in the UK and abroad prepare for, withstand and recover from emergencies in their own communities.
We need volunteers to run four stalls throughout refugee week in different locations across London (Southbank, Hammersmith Broadway and Lewisham Shopping Centre). This would be an excellent opportunity to be introduced to the work of the Red Cross and gain valuable work experience with the world’s largest independent humanitarian organisation.
This would be an excellent opportunity to gain valuable exposure and experience with the world’s largest independent humanitarian organisation. Please view the attached flyer if you're interested in this opportunity and contact us at RnB@redcross.org.uk or the Red Cross volunteer website for more information.
