RADA is looking for illustrators for R Magazine
The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) is looking for illustrators for its quarterly magazine. RADA’s R magazine is produced by RADA’s Marketing & Communications Department and has a readership of approx. 3000. Topics covered in each issue involve news and features about our students and graduates in acting, directing and technical theatre, TV, radio and film as well as general industry news and issues.
We will pay you a fee of £50 for illustration and you give you a credit in the magazine (including your website if you have one) and the opportunity to add to your portfolio and have your work circulated to a wide variety of audiences in the creative industries. We are also happy to give you references for future work and a copy of the magazine for your portfolio.
At present we are looking for illustrations for the following articles
Illustration
• Outreach and Education – article about work RADA’s current and future outreach work including schools tours
• Portrait illustration of one of our technical graduates for a 60 second interview article
We are interested in very diverse styles of illustration for the magazine and open to creative ideas particularly quirky and very expressive styles.
If you are interested and would like a fuller brief and further information please send a link or attach examples of your portfolio of previous work and contact phone and email address to Jesamine Murray & Vicky Taylor (jesaminemurray@rada.ac.uk & vickytaylor@rada.ac.uk) Final date for submissions of your portfolio for consideration is Thursday 29 April by 3:30pm.
Please be aware that decisions on illustrations will discussed with the Editorial Team who have the final decision on which illustrations/illustrators are used. But please do note that all submitted portfolios/CVs will be kept on file and you will be contacted if work is available for future issues.
