Planning & Pitching Not-for-profit Creative Projects
Are you a creative arts student with a social conscience? Have you got an idea for a creative not-for-profit project that you’ve always wanted to do? Something that uses your creative skills in order to benefit others? Full of ideas, but not sure how to make them a reality?
Then this workshop is for you! As part of the Creative Interventions research project, the University of the Arts London, Arts University College at Bournemouth and SCEPTrE at Surrey University are facilitating a one-day event for students who would like feedback on their ideas for not-for-profit creative projects.
During the workshop you will:
• Visualise your project proposal in a series of creative exercises.
• Create an action plan.
• Learn about special considerations for not-for-profit projects, such as applying for funding.
• Present your project proposal to a panel of experts drawn from leading not-for-profit organisations such as Volunteering England, War on Want, The Sorrell Foundation, The School for Social Entrepreneurs... & more.
• Receive helpful advice about your project and how to make it happen.
• Network with like-minded students from other universities.
• Have the opportunity to win tickets to the Shine Un-conference for Social Entrepreneurs (worth £50).
Date: Wednesday 28 April 2010
Time: 11.00-17.00 (lunch/refreshments will be provided)
