Nacro, the crime reduction charity

If you are interested in getting some paid experience working with us to document some gritty but positive stories about recession Britain, this assignment may be for you.

Nacro, the crime reduction charity, is looking for one or two recent graduates to work with their communications team on a three- or four-day project in August/early September. We need talented graduates to film, photograph and possibly blog about some young people, ex-offenders and the people who work with them on our projects.

We are developing a set of videoed interviews, maximum 2 minutes each, for our new website which is being launched later this year. We also need photography shoots of some of the people and places, to an exacting brief. The photos will be used on our Annual Report and website.

Your portfolio should demonstrate flair, your interest in social issues and sensitivity towards the people in your videos or photographs.

The assignment will involve going to four or five parts of England and Wales with our communications team and spending several hours documenting the people.

We will pay a fair rate and expenses. Sorry, but we don't know what style of video or photography we are looking for yet, the brief is still being written.

In the meantime, if you think you are interested, contact me.
