Residency Opportunity Available for Post Graduate Artists
We will provide one artist with the sole use of the entire space to explore ideas through research and development of their current practice for which a project proposal will be expected.
With the emphasis firmly placed on artistic enquiry, experiment and questioning, the residency is free from the constraints of undertaking a teaching element as this is not bound to certain criteria set down by funding bodies so often specified as a necessary aspect of such a project.
A materials budget will be provided for the duration of the residency and a series of contact meetings with a member of Meltdowns staff will also be available.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 29th May 2009. Interviews will take place during June and the residency is due to commence the week beginning Monday 17th August running over four consecutive weeks.
