Love Christmas? Love art?
We are hosting a jolly, unpretentious night of Christmas/Arty fun on Saturday 12th December, full of all sorts of performance, music, art, film, drink and general merriment. We are looking for different types of performance art which can be shown throughout the evening. We want to meet artists who explore playful elements in their work and who are up for having a fun night. The venue is the top floor of Dirty Dicks pub, opposite Liverpool Street Station, the space is unusual and we hope that the work shown will reflect or incorporate this in some way.
Performance Art:
Ideally we are looking for informal, interactive pieces. Durational work is encouraged, we would also like a handful of pieces no longer than 15minutes. It would be great if the work is or could be made Christmas themed or Christmas related in some way! Think performers in red and green leotardsâ ¦the cheesier the better!
Acoustic Musicians:
Musicians are required for short acoustic sets. You will not have a seated captive audience, instead you will be in the space and people will find you! We would encourage creative musicians who could also incorporate some Christmas element into their performance.
Artists/Filmmakers:
We will have small monitor which will show a film reel of different films, animations etcâ ¦ If you make small freestanding sculptures then get in touch.
Random Skills:
Do you have a skill that would be suited to this event? Are you a caricaturist? Juggler? We are open to suggestions!
This is an unfunded project; therefore a small fee will be required from chosen artists to cover costs of the event including marketing and decorations.
