Calling all textile designers!

Brief:

Calling all textile designers! A competition is underway to find the best scarf design for sale in an art gallery in the run up to Christmas. The design will be based on the work of Artist Lela Shields www.lelashields.com , who has teamed up with Art consultant Annika Erikson on various creative projects. Lela will be exhibiting in a group show at John Jones art gallery in Finsbury Park, and the space will be transformed into an art-lead pop up Christmas shop. Check out Lela's work on her website, and request high res files directly from her if required. The winning design will have identifiable aspects of Lela's work and style, with an injection of haute couture. The target clientele will be high end artists and art collectors.

You may ask for any details you like, you may have a meeting with Annika Erikson or a series of emails to see if you are going in the right direction.

The deadline for the first round of submissions will be August 15, at which point the top 3 designs will be chosen and feedback given.

If you wish to submit more than 1 design, please get in touch with Annika first.

The deadline for finalists will be 1 September. Judging will be carried out by Lela Shields, Annika Erikson and a representative of John Jones.

The winner/s will have their design/s made into gorgeous scarves, they will receive a limited edition print by Lela Shields and one of the scarves, as well as the chance to work on more textile products thereafter on a commission basis.

Many thanks,

Annika
