The house has 1315 sq.yds. of effective area including a huge hall. The whole estate measures 2,2 acres and features a historic orchard, rated as conservation area.
Villa Hasenholz, initially used as tearoom, dancehall and destination for family outings, is beautifully situated
in Leipzig/ Leutzsch on the edge of the Auenwald, which is the largest municipal forest in Europe. After several decades of neglect, Villa Hasenholz is now being rebuilt according to its former purposes into an inn and public house, providing also boarding rooms for artists and a venue for events and performances. I am at the moment rebuilding 8 boarding rooms as well as one apartment in order to lodge and cater for my first guests by the end of October.
To this aim, any volunteers and any help or donations such as historical building material, furniture, wallpaper or gastronomical utensils, are most heartily welcome and needed. Anyone interested, interesting or just curious is warmly invited to come.
