BEHIND THE SCENES - A Free Film Making Project
Join a free summer creative film making project for young people aged 14-24. Work with museum staff and Chocolate Films for eight days to produce, direct, film and edit your own short films that will have a public screening and you can take home. Use objects from the Geffrye Museum’s collection and period rooms as inspiration, investigate the theme of home and bring your object stories to life through film.
No previous experience is necessary.
Skills development will include:
• technical camera, sound and editing skills
• front of camera presentation skills
• story development and script writing techniques
• museum object handling and research experience
• working as part of a production team
The project will be based at the Geffrye Museum on the
following eight days:
Monday 8th 10-5pm/ Tuesday 9th 10-5pm/
Wednesday 10th 2-9pm/ Thursday 11th 2-9pm
Monday 15th 10-5pm/ Tuesday 16th 10-5pm/
Wednesday 17th 10-5pm/ Thursday 18th 10-5pm
