Are you interested in becoming a volunteer at the Geffrye Museum?
You will have the chance to learn how to become a confident tour guide by receiving training in an interactive, fun and supportive environment led by experienced storytellers: The Whole Story (www.thewholestory.org.uk/).
The aim will be to choose and research your favorite objects in the museum, develop stories and rehearse a tour for families visiting the museum.
Come along and learn new skills, meet new people and have fun! Everyone welcome and no previous experience is needed, just lots of enthusiasm!
The training will take place from Tuesday 1st June to Friday 4th June.
Skills/interests needed:
enthusiasm
an interest in museums / the arts/ tourism/ leisure or history
enjoyment of working with people
desire to learn
Skills you will gain:
communication/ public speaking skills
people skills
research skills
knowledge of the Geffrye Museum
Lunch and travel expenses will be provided.
