Futuretrack

The University of the Arts, London is one of around 30 institutions in the UK which has been selected to take part in a new study, Futuretrack: part-time students, which aims to follow the career development of people studying part time at universities and colleges.

Everyone who completes the survey can enter a draw for one of five first prizes of £1,000, twenty second prizes of £250 or forty third prizes of £50.

The study has been commissioned by The Higher Education Careers Services Unit (HECSU) and the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and is being undertaken by academics at Birkbeck, University of London and the National Institute of Economic and Social Research.

The study will help universities and colleges to understand part time students’ motivations and aspirations when studying and how these influence their lives and their decisions about work and careers. It will also assist universities and colleges in identifying how best to support part-time students. Information collected will inform policy-makers, universities and colleges, employers and students; your views really can make a difference to the future of education for part-time students.

If you are currently studying part time, you may already have received an online survey via email inviting you to take part in the study. We would be grateful if you could fill in this questionnaire and let us know of your views.
