Festival of International Student Theatre - open call
FIST is a valuable experience for future professional actors, directors and producers. Our main goal is to create a suitable environment for cooperation between Serbian and foreign art students.
FIST 06 consists of:
Main Programme – Public presentation and competition for the most successful student performance produced by theatre academy/faculty or independent group
Open stage – Public presentation of certain student performances from the neighbouring countries’ academies
Off Programme – Art exhibitions, film screenings, concerts, parties and other activities
Educational Programme – Workshops, lectures, debates and space interventions
This year's concept according to which the performances will be chosen, relates to Derrida's view on Deconstruction, or the radical (multiple) possibilities for reading a play.
"Deconstruction is not a dismantling of the structure of a text, but a demonstration that it has already dismantled itself. Its apparently-solid ground is no rock, but thin air". J. Hillis Miller
We encourage the students to construct their own view on deconstruction!
