Celebration of Young Fashion Designers’ Award and Radical Designer Award
The Celebration of Young Fashion Designers’ Award is a special and incredible initiative devised to recognise the achievements of young designers from all backgrounds. The Celebration of Young Fashion Designers’ Award is open to young people aged 9-20 years and is a easier award to participate in that our prestigious FDC Young Designer Awards. This awards will suit young people who are into fashion design but do not have as much practical experience. The organisers can offer some help and support to entrants of this award
The brief: is to design a flamboyant garment, based on the theme ‘My roots and heritage’ entrants will be expected to produce a design that encompasses and takes inspiration from their cultural background.
Each entrant must also produce a personal profile of 500 words and storyboard on an A1 board with sketches of their design.

The Radical Designer Award is aimed at Fashion designers over the age of 21 years.
We are inviting fashion designers to enter the Radical Designer Awards and also become part of a networking group of designers in 2010 and 2011 we aim to find the 20 best collections in the next 2 years.
The Radical Designer Award is a launch pad emerging designers and is designed for fashion designers who have a fashion label or about to set up a fashion house. This award gives each designer an opportunity to demonstrate that they are cutting edge design talent and are the ones to watch in the coming years. The award provides showcases for promising multi-cultural fashion designers offering them a platform to launch and promote their creative talents.
This year we are especially reaching out to milliners, shoe designers and knitwear designers.
