Photographer wanted
first_cut is an independently funded initiative that aims to get young people working together on creative projects.
On the 26th October we have a film workshop which runs for 6 days. In this six days we plan to make a short film from start to finish. The film will be entirely led by the workshop participants and will eventually be screened. We are hoping along with a documentary of the week to submit the project to various film festivals. The week also focusses on education and various graduate speakers from the University of the Arts will come down to show their work.
The workshop is an outreach program which aims to tackle the problem anti social behavior in the area. It really is an exciting project and hopefully should be a rewarding experience for all.
We are after a Photography student/graduate to come down and help the young people throughout the 6 days. The photographer would offer advise about camera angles/ listen to the young people ideas/ inspire. It would also be fantastic is the photographer could take a few snaps to document the week.
Please contact us asap if interested in helping out or if you know anyone between the ages of 14 - 18 that you think you like to be part of the experience (ITS FREE)... please get in contact asap as CRB checks need to be arrange (we pay for that) Looking forward to hearing from you
