As far as I am concerned, I've often experienced the 7 steps. And maybe even more often since I started my studies in Design. I remember the first year I was constantly stressed out as soon as we had a new deadline. Then slowly, you get used to it. Then in your final year, it's completely horrible because you feel even deeper than the bottom of the curve. I really felt like everything I was doing was shit, that I was shit...in those days, you don't really see how to overcome this. I think time just makes it easier, and after a while you find a kind of reason to these things. You accept them. And that's when you can start getting up the curve again...

Now I tend to experience the 7 steps in one day. It is also maybe because I know myself a bit better and I try to trivialize my problems. Taking things less seriously (when I can) also helps me to avoid the stress. Or when it's too important I try to act rather than spend days and nights thinking about the problem and asking myself loads of questions.
