Design Brief
Design Brief:
To create an A3 poster to promote UAL Health at university sites, and a service brand to be used in all publicity, including posters for specific health campaigns, website, postcards and other forms of publicity.
The fist poster will be for general awareness-raising about the service. Subsequent posters may focus on specific topic or sites – but the core branding (say at the bottom of the posters) will stay the same
The main focus of the poster should be the text (see below), and specifically the website address, but illustrations and photography etc can be incorporated.
Please submit ideas for branding and some sketches or mock-ups of what posters may look like. The submitted work should be a demonstration of your ideas for this form of publicity. The detailed brief will be worked up once the artist has received the commission.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION TO BE INCLUDED ON THE POSTER:

Background Information
UAL Health is a new health provision offered by NHS GP practices in partnership with Arts London Student Services.
UAL Health registration is now available to students living in: Brent, Camden, Chelsea, City of London, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Kensington, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Westminster, and all of the halls of residence are covered, apart from Furzedown. We expect in the near future to be able to offer services to students living in Newham and Barnet and hopefully later this year, provision should be available to 90% of Arts London students.
UAL Health has over 3000 students currently registered; a comprehensive website in place (including a simple on-line registration option); a responsive telephone service; and positive experiences being reported from student-patients.
Students are currently being seen at LCC as well as at the two surgeries at Parliament Hill and Holborn. It is hoped that over the next year there can be a daily consultation service in the LCC area and consultations can be made available in other keys parts London – near College sites. It is acknowledged that more thinking needs to be done about how to provide a service to Wimbledon students.
The working relationship between Student Services, the Students’ Union and the health providers is key to the services' success. In November, the Students’ Union health week was an opportunity for joint work (both promotional and health screening) involving UAL Health GPs, the practice nurse, Students Services Staff and the Students Union. UAL Health had a presence each day that week, in each of the colleges.
UAL Health already does see students who live outside the agreed area on an urgent basis.
