Call for Applications. A new exhibition opportunity at Craft Central.

Craft Central supports and promotes contemporary craft and design through providing exciting exhibitions and events, affordable studio space and sector specific business training. Designers and makers of contemporary craft can benefit from all of these by joining our network; full details are on our website at www.craftcentral.org.uk/membershipbenefits .

Visit http://www.craftcentral.org.uk/craft-meets  to find out more.

The Craft Meets Dance exhibition will be open 2 – 19 September inclusive and set up will be on 31st Aug and 1st Sept. Selected artists will be expected to invigilate the exhibition by rotat throughout the exhibition period. The final weekend coincides with the London Design Festival (18 – 26 Sept) bringing an international audience to the capital.

Work shown in the exhibition may be priced for sale and exhibitors will be expected to participate in the marketing of the exhibition. (Craft Central charge 5% commission on card sales only). Previous exhibitors have found showing work at Craft Central is a great networking opportunity and has led to inclusion in other UK events or exhibitions.

To make an application for Craft Meets Dance outline your ideas and other details required (see overleaf) and submit them by the deadline. This Summer sees the launch of The Big Dance http://www.bigdance2010.com/  and with loads of events scheduled from July this could be a chance to be inspired by live performances.
