Invitation to Study in China exhibition and Students’ Forum

As part of China’s National Plan for Education Reform and Development, the Chinese Government is keen to expand educational exchanges and collaboration and this event will highlight the growing opportunities available to both UK students and institutions. The Chinese Minister of Education Yuan Guiren as well as Presidents and Vice-Presidents of noted Chinese universities will attend the event. The day will take the form of three events:

10:00 – 10:30 Official opening by Chinese Minister of Education Yuan Guiren

Chinese Minister of Education Yuan Guiren will officially open the event and highlight China’s internationalisation strategy and future educational goals.

10:30 – 13:30 Study in China Exhibition

Meet up with representatives from over 20 leading Chinese institutions! This is an excellent opportunity for students to get information on studying in China and for UK institutions to seek partnerships with Chinese counterparts in the areas of mobility, research and joint programmes.

11:00 – 12:30 Students’ Forum with University Presidents from China

The Forum provides an opportunity for students to hear first hand from Chinese university Presidents and Vice-Presidents about the expanding educational prospects for international students. The event will be an interactive discussion about academic opportunities in China and will allow students to pose any questions they may have.

We are looking for support from UK institutions in promoting this event to students interested in studying in China as well as circulating the information to colleagues looking to establish ties with Chinese institutes. For institution keen to engage in partnership with Chinese universities, please RSVP by 21st October to confirm your attendance.

To register your interest or any enquiries, please contact Mr Robert Isherwood at robert.isherwood@britishcouncil.org.cn. Please provide your name, title, name of institution and email address.
