Would you like to be paid to work at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games?

Dates for the Games are as follows:

• 27th July – 12 August 2012

• 29th August – 9th September 2012

In addition opportunities for work supporting a range of test events in the build up to the Games are available from now.

What will I need to do?
1. Complete a qualification
You will need to be 18 years old by 1 July 2012 and to complete a short Level 2 qualification in Door Supervision. This is the security industry related recognised qualification and will make you eligible to work at the Games.

The Bridging the Gap project will provide you with this qualification free of charge. The qualification takes 38 hours (i.e. in total approximately four days) to complete. Training will be accessed through your local FE College.

2. Attend an interview
You will then be guaranteed an interview with G4S, the Official Security Services Provider for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. After the interview you will be able to begin work on the test events.

3. Complete some additional training units
Bridging the Gap will also provide you with access to further training including Security Awareness, Searching and Screening and X-Ray training to ensure that you are fully Games ready.

How do I find out more?
