Brent Artists’ Resource
Brent Artists’ Resource has two spaces available for 2011. Brent Artists' Resource works in partnership with The London Borough of Brent. Both spaces are based within the Willesden Green Centre, which also houses Brent Museum, the Willesden Green Library, and will hopefully, by next year also include a Cinema in this buzzing arts and cultural hub.
The Gallery (50 sq metres) has two double door entrances, white plinths in various sizes, power points, a TV for video art, and a hanging system. The Wall is 14 metres by 3 metres. Art works on the Wall can be 15cm in width but can not cover power points. The footfall figure for the Centre is on average 65,000 people a month.
Brent Artists’ Resource does not take any commission on work sold so all the money generated through sales will go to the artists.
The Gallery and Wall are available on the following dates in 2011:
22nd March - 15th April
19th April - 13th May
17th May - 17th June (Wall space only)
21st June - 15th July (Wall Space only)
19th July - 12th August
16th August - 16th September
20th September - 14th October
18th October - 11th November (Wall space only)
15th November - 16th December (Wall space only)
The Gallery space for the duration of an exhibition (one month) is £800. The Wall space for the duration of an exhibition (one month) is £300. In the past Curator’s have divided the cost between Artists. For example, The Gallery space – 10 artists each pay £80 to have their work in an exhibition for a month.
We are currently looking for young artists who would like to take part in the exhibition. If you’re interested please send a sample of your work, short description of your style and /or link to your website if you’ve got one. These samples are to be a good representation of your style and not necessarily the work that you will want to include in the actual exhibition.
The closing date for submission is 12th of August 2010.
Please send the samples to kalina.maria.d@gmail.com
