Black Pig City Masonic Circus.
Chelsea Programme have commissioned Italian artists collective Black Pig City to undertake Black Pig City Masonic Circus, a new commission for the Parade Ground at Chelsea College of Art. As part of their commission, BPC wish to recruit students to participate in the Black Pig Friends Secret Workshop from 6th – 16th October 2009.
This workshop is free, and offers the chance to work with a group of International artists on their first major commission in the UK.
The Black Pig City Masonic Circus is the first part in a season of projects exploring how European artists are currently engaging with the idea of borders, nationhood and collaboration. Forthcoming projects include a symposium at Tate Britain, and a further commission from artists Paula Roush and Ines Amado in January 2010.
