Bernard Noble Sculpture Foundation - Outdoor Sculpture Prize 2009
The Bernard Noble Sculpture Foundation has as its objective to support, encourage and promote young, emerging and/or unrepresented sculptors by means of the annual award or commission of an outdoor sculpture prize (the Noble Prize for Sculpture) to an artist for a sculpture to be acquired and exhibited by the Foundation .
The sculpture would be exhibited in the grounds of Colletta di Castelbianco in Liguria in Italy. The Foundation has undertaken to establish the Colletta Sculpture Park there in association with the Cultural Association of Colletta di Castelbianco. The park will be open to public access in order to display sculptures acquired by the Foundation.
The Prize will be for a minimum of £5,000. It is hoped that the size of the Prize will be augmented by creation the Foundation's not-for-profit internet market or forum for sculptors to post and sell their work and for the general public to buy it, with all net proceeds going to augment the value of the prize or commission. Sculptors wishing to sell their work to the public and prospective buyers wanting to buy sculptures should click on Gallery.
