Bag Theft - Cross Cultural Responses - Competition
The Design Against Crime Research Centre, in partnership with the Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science, have written extensively on bag theft, and generated new design products to combat such thefts.
We have also compiled a visual audit of bag holding clips on: http://www.inthebag.org.uk/what-can-you-do/bag-holding-clips.
We are now looking for more cross-cultural examples of similar interventions or designs.
Have you seen any folk remedies or DIY designs, on your travels across the world or back home, aimed at preventing bag thieves or pickpockets doing their work?
We are particularly interested in measures that are not already shown on the website, or in our downloadable market review:

£100 prize for the best photo – sent to Lorraine Gamman before 31st July 2009.
You will be credited for your image on the website.
