Australian company Back to Back Theatre returns to the Barbican
Back to Back Theatre
Food Court with the Necks
23 – 25 Jun
Barbican Theatre
Part concert, part theatre show, Food Court is an unpredictable roller coaster of images, sound and emotion which tells us of one woman's humiliation in a suburban wonderland, with a live soundscape by Sydney cult jazz trio, The Necks.
Back to Back Theatre is an Australian theatre company with a distinctive artistic voice and a devising process that works with its ensemble of disabled actors as its creative core.
They return to the UK after the success of their site-specific show small metal objects at Stratford station in 2007.
Find out more about the genesis of Food Court in the Director’s Notes by Bruce Gladwin.
