Art Market Careers Day

Based at the Fine Art Society, in the heart of London’s commercial art world, students will spend the morning learning about the industry as a whole, the types of businesses that make up the art market, descriptions of a variety of roles available within it and how best to achieve personal success in a specific area.

After lunch there is a guided tour of galleries in the West End and a visit to a live auction. Key figures from these arts establishments will talk about their professional experiences and give tips to students who wish to follow a similar career path.

The day will end with a one-to-one CV surgery and tailored interview practice along with guidance on internship choices as well as a final seminar session with a guest lecturer.

The course also works in partnership with arts organisations to give students the opportunity to complete voluntary internships and build up practical work experience.

For those who are interested, we offer:
assistance in finding an internship in their chosen area and then ultimately help in finding full time employment, through our recruitment agency.

The day course runs every three months.
