Genius Loci, international Photographic Award
Accademia Apulia UK is proud to present, Genius Loci, the international Photographic Award aimed at promoting up and coming photographers of all nationalities based in the United Kingdom and in Italy.
The award aims to foster cultural exchange between the two countries through the Arts.
The works of the finalists will be shown in a group exhibition at The Royal Horseguards, 1 Whitehall Place, London SW1, on 11/02/2011when the winner will be announced.
Accademia Apulia UK offers the winner: £1,000
The work of each applicant should address the following:
The Spirit of Place and Cultural Diversity
Artwork
Each candidate will need to submit a photographic essay consisting of three digital images in colour that explore the concept of Genius Loci.
Images may be digitally enhanced for colour/contrast/brightness, but not manipulated.
The works submitted must be unpublished.
Each candidate will retain the copyright to their own work; however, each applicant grants Accademia Apulia UK a worldwide license to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their website and/or in any promotional material.
Participants
The award is open to photographers of all nationalities based in the United Kingdom and in Italy.

The timeline of the competition is as follows:
20/11/2010 All documentation, including the 3 images, must be received by email.
10/01/2011 The names of the three finalists will be announced on the Accademia website.
11/02/2011 Official opening of the exhibition & announcement of the winner.
