Drawing Board to Screen: Production Design and Technical Drawing with David McHenry
Monday 26th July - Friday 6th August 2010 - £650
In film and TV production, the pre-production process is a time for discovery and invention. This is when the Art Department develops ideas and creates the blueprints for the design of the piece. In this advanced 2-week course, David McHenry explores this creative journey with participants helping each one to develop an individual creative design approach. Through analysing a screenplay and focusing on one major set participants will create unique concepts of their own from scratch, producing working drawings, plans, visuals and models. "David’s course was excellent. The teaching was dynamic and tailored to the needs and progress of the group. It was great to be taught by an experienced professional working in the industry.” Dominee Reid, participant, January 2009.

David McHenry is a Production Designer and Art Director with thirty years’ experience in the film & TV industry.
