8thAnimation Contest of Folktales and Fables
The Hida-Consortium (Hida Earth Wisdom Center) will hold The 8th Animation Contest of Folktales and Fables during Hida International Animation Festival of Folktales and Fables.
The goal of the contest is to unearth promising new animation artists and support them in their future endeavors.
There were as many as 125 entries from 16 countries and regions around the world in The 7th Animation Contest of Folktales and Fables, and the contest’s popularity has been steadily increasing among people both in Japan and abroad.

Awards and Prize Money
Animation Contest of Folktales and Fables
Two awards, the “Grand Prix” and “Semi Grand Prix” will be selected by a committee of intellectuals.
Prize Money
Grand Prix (1 entry): 1,000,000 yen prize money
Semi Grand Prix (1 entry): 500,000 yen prize money
Animation Contest of Folktales and Fables: Children’s Selection Committee
Two awards, the “Grand Prix” and “Semi Grand Prix” will be selected by children.
There will also be other awards sponsored by additional associations.
These awards will be presented at the discretion of the judges.
