3 performers required
There is no payment for your involvement.
SPECIFICS:
An eccentric lady, a lush, a poetess
An eccentric young gentleman, in love with the poetess, angst ridden writer
A devilish sort (male of female), an exhibitionist, a stirrer, a spreader of rumours
ABOUT YOU:
Enthusiastic, familiar with ensemble performance, clowning is a benefit, but not a necessity, unphased by talking, in character, to unsuspecting members of the public as though you are long lost relatives or old friends. And it is a bonus if you have read Bulgakov's Master & Marguerita - as we will be using the moscow arts club chapter(s) as our spring board in rehearsal. Copies of the extracts to be circulated to the successful applicants.
REHEARSALS & COSTUME DEVELOPMENT:
Friday 13th, Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th. Location: Hackney. Times to be decided.
PERFORMANCE:
Evening of Sunday 15th March, 8-10pm (with rests)
Location: Notting Hill Arts Club
A BIT OF BACKGROUND:
Radio Gagarin is the club night founded by Friends of Gagarin with Max Reinhardt and Lemez Lovas. According to Time Out, it is the 'Notting Hill Arts Clubs's most anarchic night, and that is saying something' - and they have awarded it critics choice for clubs 5 times. The Friends of Gagarin is an irreverent live art troupe. Performing at Barbican, South Hill Park Arts Centre and the Green Man Festival.
