20-20 Art Competition

The 20-20 Optical Store is looking for an individual piece to showcase what our store is all about to clients to be placed in the entrance to the store.

We have an alcove 266cm wide, 246cm high and 30 cm deep. In this space we are seeking an individual art work to display. Initial thoughts include: canvas / print / installation / sculptural / textile piece. However, this competition is open to those from any discipline who feel they are able to produce a suitable piece.  We will discuss reimbursement for the artist’s materials at the short listed stage.

A bit more about us:
We are an award winning Optical Store, with the largest range of glasses within a single store in Europe, and the first and only Opticians in London to have the OCT device to check retinal health. We specialise in high-end designer frames as well as luxury items such as Cartier. On top of this there’s an Apostrophe Café, Ultralase Clinic, La Belle Visage beauty clinic and Heaven and Earth vintage style clothing boutique in store. Our store has real personality and we want this to come through in the artwork.

Come in store, e-mail marketing@20-20.co.uk or call in 020 7596 2020 for more information or if you have any queries.

• Judging process
We will look at all entries and create a short list. These will then be voted for in store as well as our website and/or Facebook page. The winner will then produce the piece.

• Prize details - On completing the piece, the winner will win £500 of store credit to spend on eye care, spectacles, sunglasses, and/or contact lenses.

In addition to this the winner will receive local press attention and the opportunity for commissions from our clients.

• How to enter
E-mail your concept to marketing@20-20.co.uk with a scan of sketches/design sheets/supporting information. Some kind of visual representation would be helpful and aid your application.
Please quote 20-20 Art Competition when contacting us.

• Closing date 27/02/11
